Rannita Williams, 27: Killed By Ex-BF On Facebook Live In 2018

Rannita Williams Murder

Two years after Rannita Williams broke off her relationship with ex-boyfriend Johnathan Robinson, she happily moved on with her life. She had a new boyfriend and was headed in a more positive direction. Her family and friends were glad that Rannita put Robinson out of her life because they knew that in the past, he acted violently toward her throughout their on-again-off-again relationship. Robinson had been stalking Rannita, showing up to places where she was, and violently confronting her in public.

Conflicts between the former couple came to a head earlier this year when, in April, Rannita was murdered in cold blood while streaming live on Facebook. Police claim that Rannita was held hostage in her home at gunpoint by Robinson, who instructed her to stream their encounter on Facebook Live. It’s believed that he wanted her to get online because Rannita regularly shared her life through social media.

Robinson repeatedly yelled at the 27-year-old mother, “B*tch wanna be famous?” as Rannita sat fearfully nearby. The 36-year-old man told Rannita Williams to apologize to the camera during the three-minute video, although he didn’t clarify what for. Some believe it was due to a previous video she made about Robinson, where she called him out for following her and mentioned his new girlfriend, who accused Rannita of still wanting to be with him.

“He y’all, this is NuNu… Yes, I was wrong. I didn’t have any business going off like that,” Rannita said. Williams stood over her throughout the broadcast saying, “Everybody wanna be famous, let’s be famous today.”

“Wanna be famous? I’ll make you f*cking famous,” he reportedly said.

In her final moments, Rannita Williams begged Robinson, who was armed with an AK-47, not to hurt her, but the pleading fell on deaf ears. He pointed a shotgun at her and fired six times. The hopes that Rannita had that a friend or family member would call for help in time to save her life were dashed.

Police descended on Williams’ home, where the incident occurred in real-time for the internet audience. Robinson made it clear that he wasn’t worried about the authorities.

“I don’t give a f*ck about police, you hear,” Robinson said. He stood over Rannita as she lay dying and told her, “Now b*tch, game over. Game over b*tch.” Rannita was shot at least four times.

When police arrived, Robinson shot at them, as well, reportedly grazing an officer on the wrist. After exchanging gunfire, the murderer was arrested and taken into custody.

“I mean basically, I guess [he wanted] to torture her. That’s the only thing I could see,” Rannita’s cousin Trina Williams said. “She didn’t deserve it. Why would you even come here?”

He has been charged with second-degree murder and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. He also faces charges of simple criminal damage to property and numerous counts of attempted first-degree murder.
