Merkedes Jordan, 21: Hasn’t Been Heard From in 12 Years
The missing cases with very little information are some of the most distressing. A family in Mississippi is still searching for answers 12 years after 21-year-old Merkedes Jordan disappeared without a trace. The young woman left behind a baby, a son, who has grown up not knowing what happened to his mother. He, along with the rest of Merkedes’s loved ones, deserve answers.
The last sighting of Merkedes was on November 7, 2006, in Meridian, Mississippi. She was seen talking with at least one man, described as a Black male, near a black car inside her apartment complex. After that sighting, Merkedes was never heard from again.
Her family believes that she was taken against her will.
There is a Facebook page dedicated to Merkedes Jordan, hoping that her case will be shared and that there is someone, somewhere, who can shed light on this mysterious situation. There are only three posts on the page, the last of which was written in 2021.
“10 years!!!!! It would really be helpful and and a move of God for someone to come forth with any information about her missing or to reveal what they KNOW about her dissapearance,” someone wrote in 2016. “God knows all and it is just a matter of time before he reveals his hand! Ready to help? Raise your hand! We need it! She needs it!”
Merkedes Jordan: What To Know
At the time of her disappearance, Merkedes Jordan stood 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighed 185 pounds. She had black/dark brown hair (shoulder length, but she often wore her hair in a ponytail. She had large dimples, a scar on her cheek, and an overbite. Merkedes was last seen wearing a pink jacket and house shoes/slippers.
