Home » Alma Felicia Lewis Disappeared While Driving Cross Country In 1999
In the summer of 1999, Alma Felicia Lewis vanished without a trace. The last time anyone had contact with her was on July 30 in Memphis, Tennessee. Alma was on a cross-country road trip to California to pick up her child, but somewhere on the route, the 27-year-old disappeared.
The details in Alma’s missing person case are few and for almost 20 years, investigators haven’t been able to piece together what happened to Alma on her journey. Because her mother, who lives in Illinois, reported her missing, the police there are in charge of her case. It’s unclear if other agencies from varying states have been involved since Alma was traveling such a far distance. There isn’t any public information about her last movements before she was last seen.
There also does not seem to be information about her child or her family life.
At the time of her disappearance, Alma was 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighed 144 pounds. She has black/dark brown hair, brown eyes, multiple piercings in her ears, and a scar over one of her eyebrows. She goes by the nicknames “Lady” and “Felicia.”
Anyone with information regarding Alma is urged to contact the Illinois State Police at 815-632-4010 or their local authorities. The agency case number is 06-13498ST and her NCIC Number is M-625839488. If you know anything about how or why Alma never made it to California, consider helping a family who has been searching for answers for decades.
