Home » Deborah Saucier, 62: Missing After Visiting Casino In 2019
*UPDATE* Police located the remains of Deborah Saucier at a taxi water dock at the Hillsborough River. My sincerest condolences to her loved ones. No other details have been shared at this time.”
It has been a difficult time for Candice Larry. On Tuesday, January 8, Candice’s mother, Deborah Saucier, visited the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Florida. After spending a few hours there, security cameras caught the 62-year-old leaving the casino around 9:45 p.m.
That was the last time anyone saw Deborah or could verify her whereabouts.
“This is completely out of the ordinary,” Candice said. “She left by herself, she seemed fine, she walked out of there normally and got in her car,” said Candice.
Six days later, Deborah’s black SUV was found sitting in a handicapped parking spot at Julian B. Lane Park. It’s not clear if the Tampa resident drove there herself or if someone else moved her vehicle. Police found Deborah’s purse, wallet, and cellphone inside of the car, which was locked.
“The fact that she was out here is alarming because she doesn’t do that,” Candice said.
Police have issued a Silver Alert in Deborah’s missing person case. Her family fears for her health and safety because Deborah takes daily medications for several ailments. Candice told Fox 13 News in Tampa that her mother suffers from both hearing and memory loss. Deborah also can’t walk distances without needing a break and gets tired easily. Wherever she is, Deborah hasn’t had access to her medications for a week, and her family is terribly worried.
“My fear is, did she fall and hurt herself and is somewhere that nobody can see her?” Candice asked. “Did she forget and wander and she’s wandering around? My fear is that she hasn’t had any food.”
Candice is Deborah’s only child and can’t think of life without her mother. She is adamant that Deborah isn’t suicidal and says that her mother has never vanished in the past.
“I just want to know something,” she said. “It’s the not knowing that’s the worst, it’s a nightmare.”
Deborah is approximately 5’3″ tall and between 200 – 210 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. According to police, Deborah was last wearing an unknown-colored shirt, dark sweatpants, and a brown cap.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Tampa Police Department at (813) 276-3200 or (813) 231-6130.
