Tiffany Michele Goines, 12: Left Her Home To Play Outside & Never Returned
For years, Betty Goines slept on her living room couch. The mother of missing 12-year-old Tiffany Michele Goines held out hope that one day, her little girl would walk through the door. It was December 5, 1987, when Tiffany left the apartment she shared with her family to play outside with her friends. The pre-teen was assumed to be enjoying a day in her Frederick, Maryland, neighborhood, but on that Winter day, she disappeared.
Like many kids, Tiffany was expected to return home by the time dinner was ready. However, she never showed up. Her family and friends took to the streets to find her, but after driving around town for hours, they came up empty. It was time to contact the authorities.
Investigators later learned that someone had seen Tiffany the day she went missing. According to reports, Tiffany was spotted near her apartment complex getting into a light blue Chevy Impala. Some reports state the vehicle was a red convertible. The person behind the wheel has never been identified, nor has the car been located. The apartment complex that Tiffany and her family lived in back in 1987 was demolished in 2005. The status of the investigation is unknown, including what Tiffany’s young friends told authorities about their last moments with her.

At the time of her disappearance, Tiffany Michelle Goines was described as 5 feet tall and 78 pounds. She had black/dark brown hair and brown eyes. Her hair was reportedly in a “short-length braided” style. The Governor Thomas Johnson Middle School student was last seen wearing a white sweatshirt, blue pants with a white belt, brown gloves, and white shoes without shoelaces. Tiffany also wore large-framed prescription glasses. One of her eyes reportedly turned slightly inward. She would be 45 years old at the time of this publication.
