Detroit Jane Doe Was Found In An Open Field In May 2020

Investigators in Detroit, Michigan need the public’s help in identifying a deceased woman. According to the report made by National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, the woman’s remains were located on May 7, 2020. She was found in an open field on the west side of the city, but the condition of Detroit Jane Doe is unclear, as is her cause of death. NamUs has provided a sufficient amount of information that hopefully helps lead to an identification in the future.
What we can surmise is that Detroit Jane Doe was 5 feet 3 inches tall and 138 pounds. Her hair is black/dark brown but her eye color is listed as “unknown.” This may be because her eyes may not have been recovered along with her body, but I am not sure if that’s the case. She reportedly has a recognizable face and her remains were recovered intact. Detroit Jane Doe is described as being an adult who is 40 years of age or younger. She also has a number of tattoos: ‘Austin’ on her left wrist, ‘Martel’ on her right wrist, and a small heart with an arrow on left on hand. Please see the photos for details.
Anyone with information regarding this Detroit Jane Doe is urged to contact the Detroit Police Department at (313) 596-1800 or their local authorities. The Agency Case Number for Detroit Jane Doe is 2005070062.
