Breasia Terrell, 10: Has Been Missing From Iowa Since July 2020

The massive search continues for Breasia Terrell from Davenport, Iowa. The 10-year-old disappeared sometime between Thursday evening on July 9 to Friday afternoon July 10, 2020 and it’s reported that she was with her brother while he was visiting his father, 47-year-old Henry Earl Dinkins, when she vanished. They were reportedly at an apartment on East 53rd Street. Hours after her disappearance, Davenport police arrested Dinkins on an unrelated charge but in an AMBER Alert for Breasia, authorities listed Dinkins as her “abductor.”
Breasia’s mother, Aishia Lankford, was in a relationship with Dinkins nearly 10 years ago and he is the father of one of her children. “I was with [Dinkins] and then I found out about him. He was weird,” Aishia reportedly told the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier. “There have been a lot of rumors and a lot of things said on social media… Breasia was with her brother. And he was visiting his father. I never imagined I would be here talking about this.”
“I believe he knows something about what is happening with my daughter,” Aishia added. “I think my daughter is alive. And I think it’s just a matter of time before Dinkins is ready to crack and tell what he knows. That’s what I honestly believe.” Dinkins has not been charged with anything related to the disappearance of Breasia Terrell. In 1990, he was reportedly convicted of third-degree sexual abuse and is currently a registered sex offender.

Meanwhile, investigators are hoping that the public can assist them in their investigation, particularly as it pertains to vehicles linked to Dinkins. They include a “2007 Maroon Chevy Impala, 2012 Black Chevy Camaro, and a 1980′s Kings Highway motorhome.” All three of those vehicles are reportedly in police custody.
“We are asking the public’s assistance for any information regarding Dinkins and associated vehicles during the timeframe of Thursday, July 9, from 10 p.m. to Friday, July 10 at 12 p.m.,” Davenport Police Chief Paul Sikorski said. “We are requesting any information the public may have on Dinkins’ whereabouts in the Quad-Cities area during that timeframe… There’s a lot of people standing behind your cameras right now in the back who have been working on this 24 hours a day, every day since we’ve learned of the disappearance of Breasia. We will continue to work feverishly to find her to bring her home.”

The concerned mother shared that Breasia Terrell is a “special” and “kind” little girl. “Just a few days before she disappeared she sent me a text and told me how beautiful I am and that she wants to be just like me,” Aishia Lankford said. “She is 10, but she always tries to make sure I’m feeling good.” She added, “My baby is a fighter. That’s one reason why I think we will find her. She is strong… I don’t care where I have to go. We’re going to bring her home.”
Masked volunteers have been searching tirelessly for Breasia day in and day out.

At the time of her disappearance, Breasia Terrell stood 4 feet 5 inches tall and weighed 75 pounds. Breasia has black/dark brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing an oversized white t-shirt and shorts of an unknown color.
