*UPDATE* In July 2021, the remains of Felicia Coleman were identified. She went missing in 2001 and while her remains were located three weeks later, a medical examiner listed the remains as belonging to a “young Black man.” Those findings were changed in 2011 after the Office of the Medical Examiner re-examined the case. It is still unknown how she died.
Back in 2001, the city of Goldsboro, North Carolina found itself confronted with a missing person case that hasn’t seen any movement in quite some time. It was on November 9, 2001, when Felicia Coleman was last seen but since that time, no one has been in contact with the 23-year-old.
That Fall, Felicia Coleman was seen somewhere near Holly Street and Carolina Street in Goldsboro. Why she was at the location or who she may have been with remains a mystery, but what is known is that she was never seen or heard from again. Some investigators believed that Felicia may have left of her own accord, however, there hasn’t been any movement or activity on her bank accounts. Felicia Coleman was also the mother of three children and was close to her family. She kept in contact with her loved ones, as well, and would regularly visit one of her children who was in the hospital at the time.
At the time of her disappearance, Felicia Coleman was described as being 5 feet tall and 140 pounds. She had brown hair and brown eyes. Felicia was last wearing a black coat, blue jeans, and black athletic shoes. She also has an undisclosed medical condition and wears glasses.
Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to contact the Goldsboro Police Department at (919) 580-4243 or their local authorities.
Please share this story about Felicia Coleman in order to reignite the investigation into her case. She is out sister and her life matters.
Beverly Kaye McBride, 48: Loving Grandmother Found Murdered In 2007
Weeks after being reported missing, Beverly’s remains were located by a man cutting grass.
This is a case that was brought to my attention by a supporter of Our Black Girls, and it is one that I never heard of out of Texas. It was back in August 2007 when Beverly Kaye McBride, a loving mother and matriarch, was tragically killed in Beaumont. Searching for any updated information since 2007 has proven to be difficult, but the person who sent me this case was able to provide some photos of a news article published all those years ago.
