Laquandra Shavonne Slater, 38: Disappeared During The Holidays In 2016
It was not long after the Thanksgiving season in 2016 when family members of Laquadra Shavonne Slater last had contact with her on December 2 in Flint Township, Michigan. Soon after, Laquandra’s vehicle was found abandoned in the area near Atherton Road and Van Slyke Road. There hasn’t been any movement in Laquandra’s case since she disappeared.
“Somebody had to do something to her, take her somewhere,” said LaToya Brown, Laquandra’s cousin. “All I can say is just put themselves in our position, our situation. If it was your family, I don’t know what the situation was or what could have been the reason… if she’s still alive and OK, could they just let her go, just something.”
The holidays are particularly difficult as Laquandra is family-oriented and enjoys spending time with her loved ones. For years, investigators haven’t received any new information about what may have happened to the 38-year-old, but someone, somewhere, has the key that detectives need. Very little information about Laquandra’s case has been made publicly available.
Laquandra Shavonne Slater: What To Know
At the time of her disappearance, Laquandra Shavonne Slater was 5 feet 4 inches tall and 180 10 200 pounds. She had black/dark brown hair, brown eyes, and multiple piercings on her lip, eyebrow, and ears. She also has several tattoos: dolphins and fish from her foot up her body, a portrait of her mother on her upper arm, a sun on her arm, and other tattoos on her arms, legs, and neck. Laquandra Shavonne Slater uses the nickname “Say V” and may use the last name “Kelly.”

According to WNEM News, Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of $2,500 for information that helps lead to a felony arrest.
