Jeanette Marie Lamb: Last Seen Getting Into A Car With A Man In 2002

The man she was reported with is unknown.

Jeanette Marie Lamb

This case came across my desk after a woman who claimed to be the step-sister of Jeanette Marie Lamb sent me an email. She asked for her sister’s missing person case to be highlighted here on Our Black Girls, and I wanted to do what I could to help. According to reports, the 31-year-old was last seen at a relative’s home in Phoenix, Arizona (on the 5300 block of West Campbell Street near 51st Avenue) not long after the new year on January 10, 2002.

Jeanette Marie LambJeanette Marie Lamb, a mother of three boys who were young at the time of her disappearance, was close with her family. While it’s reported that there were certain times when she may have gone quiet and not been in contact with her loved ones for a few days, she would always resurface. On the day she disappeared, an unidentified man in a white pickup truck picked Jeanette up from her relative’s home and that was the last interaction her family has had with her since. There are no public reports that have given any descriptions of the man in question.

When she couldn’t get in contact with Jeanette for 30 days, the missing woman’s sister officially filed a report with authorities.

“She was also a lady of the streets. No leads after all these years she left 3 children,10 brothers and sisters and her mother, feel authorities never took this [seriously]. Would love if you could keep this alive,” Rosetta Johnson, Jeanette’s step-sister shared with me.

There is little information known about Jeanette’s case and news reports are scarce, if not absent altogether. Investigators believe she was the victim of foul play.

At the time of her disappearance, Jeanette Marie Lamb stood 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighed 170 pounds. She had black/dark brown hair and brown eyes. Jeanette hosts a number of tattoos: “Gladys” on her left hand,  “Davionta” on her breast, “J-Dogg” on her right forearm decorated with flowers, and “Cecil” on her leg. She was reportedly last seen wearing black jeans, a black “Prime Trucking” coat, and a green Army hat. Jeanette would be 50-years-old at the time of this publication.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact the Phoenix Police Department Missing Persons Unit at (602) 534-2121 or After hours: (602)262-6141.

Please share this story about Jeanette Marie Lamb to help reignite the investigation into her case. She is our sister and her life matters.

Tyesha Patrice Bell Missing

03/16/2021: Please read the update to this case here.

Eighteen years after she was first reported missing, the remains of Tyesha Bell have been located. I shared Tyesha’s story back in June 2020, explaining that in May 2003, Tyesha was living with her sister when she went outside of their Aurora, Illinois home to take a phone call and never returned. Initially, there weren’t panicked concerns but when none of the 22-year-old’s loved ones could get into contact with her throughout the day, Tyesha’s family contacted the authorities. (more…)
