Maxine Gray, 30: Vanished From Mount Pleasant, Texas In 1992

Once again, we have a cold case where little information has been made publicly available. Back in 1992, 30-year-old Maxine Gray disappeared from Mount Pleasant, Texas, on April 5, and it’s reported that the last time anyone saw her, she was driving her black 1965 Chevrolet Malibu with Texas plates. Where she traveled to remains a mystery, but Fox 51 reports that she was last seen at the Circle C Trailer Park.
In March 2020, it was reported that the “Mount Pleasant Police Department says this case is suspended, awaiting DNA results from UNT Center for Human Identification lab.” The outcome of those tests, if they’re available or have been completed, is unknown.
There is a Facebook Page dedicated to Maxine Gray where her loved ones are pleading for any information regarding her case. I urge you to take the time to visit the page here and share any information that you can, especially if you’re located in Texas. On the page, the administrator wrote that Maxine was last seen with a man named Timothy Jerome Shields and that the missing mother now has grandchildren.
Maxine Gray: What To Know
At the time of her disappearance, Maxine Gray stood 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighed 110 pounds, according to The Charley Project. The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System reports that she was 6 feet 4 inches to 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighed 150 pounds. She had red/auburn hair, brown eyes, and did not wear glasses. Maxine has a bite scar on her cheek and a light patch of skin on her face. It’s unknown what she was last seen wearing except for “fancy rings and a fancy watch.” The specific descriptions of her jewelry were not included in public reports. Maxine would be 58 years old at the time of this publication.
Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to contact the Mount Pleasant Police Department at 903-575-4184 or their local authorities.
