Joyce Dupont, 25: Vanished After Asking Her Sister To Babysit In 1994
She had to make a run to the Housing Authority & disappeared.
No one has had contact with Joyce Dupont since 1994. It isn't much known about her case, but what has been shared by a handful of agencies tells a tale of a mystery that has plagued authorities for decades. According to the story, Joyce was at her sister's home in Lake Charles, Louisiana (Calcasieu Parish) on September 8. Joyce asked her sister if she could babysit her child and left on her way, but sadly, the 25-year-old mother never returned.

A Missing Woman's Last Known Movements
It's reported that Joyce walked down to the corner of Bank and Broad Streets because that was the location where she intended to catch a bus to the Housing Authority. This is where the information seems to dwindle; it's unclear whether Joyce boarded her bus or made it to her destination. The Doe Network simply states that "somewhere along the line, she disappeared."
Investigators don't believe that Joyce Dupont walked away from her life. It's stated that she was a "responsible person" and wouldn't have vanished without contacting her child or her loved ones. Unfortunately, any information about Joyce's personal and professional life hasn't been shared, nor is there information made public about the investigation into her missing person case, including whether authorities had any suspects.
Additionally, I could only find one photo of Joyce (above) on record.
