The family of Veronda Sanders has been impatiently awaiting any news about the missing 60-year-old woman. Like many of the other cases on Our Black Girls, there isn’t much known about Veronda or her life, as reports have only included the who-what-where-when of her case. However, what has been shared is that she left her Houston, Texas home on her bicycle and never returned.
A report by the Houston Chronicle states that Veronda Sanders was riding through South Park on October 17, 2018, when she went missing. Any details about where she may have been going, if she was meeting up with someone, or if she had a cellphone that pinged any locations is unknown.
Veronda’s bicycle is described as a Huffy Good Vibrations Women’s Cruiser that was light teal in color. It had a black seat and there weren’t any fenders and didn’t have a basket. Like Veronda, the bike has never been located.
At the time of her disappearance, Veronda Sanders stood 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighed 135 pounds. She has black/dark brown hair and brown eyes. Both of her ears are pierced and she had small moles underneath both of her eyes. Veronda is also described as having a pockmark on her nose. She also reportedly has a tattoo of a small rose on the back of her shoulder but left or right hasn’t been specified. Veronda’s middle name is “Kay” and she would be 62-years-old at the time of this publication. What she was last seen wearing is unknown.
