Shawtyeria Waites, 20: Last Seen At Houston Apartment Complex

*UPDATE* The remains of Shawtyeria Waites were located and identified. She was last seen making her way to an apartment and it was determined that she was meeting with a 26-year-old man named Jordan Potts. Shawtyeria may have met him on a dating app or social media. Potts reportedly killed Shawtyeria inside her apartment and moved her body into the trunk of his vehicle. He was arrested in 2021.

Shawtyeria Waites‘s loved ones hope the public will share as much information as possible in these first days. According to information from her loved ones and what has been shared on social media, Shawtyeria went missing on July 25, her 20th birthday. While exact circumstances regarding the disappearance remain scarce, it is known that she was last seen at an apartment complex.

A flyer states that Shawtyeria was last in Building H at the Chimney Rock Apartments in Houston, Texas. It is unclear if she lived there, was traveling somewhere, or was last seen in a vehicle, but a missing person flyer reports that Shawtyeria Waites was on Chimney Rock Road “in an unknown direction of travel.”

Shawtyeria’s loved ones have rallied together to spread awareness. Several relatives pleaded with the public, determined to never give up on their efforts to bring her home.

At the time of her disappearance, Shawtyeria Waites stood 5 feet 9 inches tall (a Twitter post claims she is 5 feet 6 inches tall) and weighed 130 pounds. She has black/dark brown hair (in a long, curly wig) and brown eyes. She was wearing a pink dress (two-piece style) and pink sandals.
