Danielle Alexander, 19: Went To The Store In 2005 & Never Returned

If you ask anyone who has ever driven through Texas, there are several small towns pocketed throughout the state. It takes a little over a half a day to cross from one end of Texas to the other, and America’s second-largest state has many small communities that are often overlooked, as attention is given to Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Austin. Wortham is one of those towns that boasts a population of just over 1,000 people, and it is where 19-year-old Danielle Alexander called home before she vanished in 2005.
There haven’t been many details shared about Danielle’s case, but according to reports, she went off to run an errand and never returned home. Wortham is the type of town where everyone knows your name and hosts a handful of businesses. Two major roads run through the town—N 3rd (Hwy 14) and W San Saba Avenue (Hwy 27)—and it is well outside the hustle and bustle of a major city, so just how Danielle Alexander disappeared has puzzled those who have been tracking her case over the last 16 years.
It was just six days shy of Halloween on October 25, 2005, when Danielle left her home. It is unclear who was there with her, but she reportedly told them that she was walking to the gas station/liquor store in the middle of town where Hwy 14 and Hwy 27 intersected. It is also unclear why she needed to make the trip, but she reportedly stated that she would return home soon.
Danielle Alexander has never been seen or heard from since that time.
At the time of her disappearance, Danielle Alexander stood 5 feet 1 inch to 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighed 250 to 270 pounds. She had black/dark brown hair (dyed reddish-brown) and brown eyes. She wore prescription glasses but she didn’t take them with her when she left her home. Danielle had a newly developed dark neck rash and on her right shoulder area, she had a round green birthmark. Under her eyes, she had moles that looked like freckles. Both of her ears are pierced and she has an unknown medical condition that requires medication. She was last seen wearing a dark-colored t-shirt, a dark blue hoodie zip-up jacket, dark-colored pants, circular dangling silver earrings with sparkling white stones and a dollar sign in the middle, and she may have had a purse with her described as having long fringe on the bottom. Her middle name is “Nicole” and she would be 35-years-old at the time of this publication.
Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact the Freestone County Sheriff’s Office at (903) 389-3236 or their local authorities. The agency case number is 05102601.
