Cynthia Smith Corsicana Missing (1)

*UPDATE* Good news! Cynthia has reportedly been located and is safe.

Original Story:

This is a newer case out of Texas, but surprisingly, there has not been much shared about Cynthia Smith. It appears that authorities in Cynthia’s hometown have stated that she hasn’t met the criteria for a silver alert, but the 63-year-old’s loved ones believe every second counts. Sadly, next to nothing has been shared about this elder.

Cynthia Smith Corsicana Missing 1What has been made available is that Cynthia Smith disappeared from Corsicana, Texas on Sunday, October 3. The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System did not offer up information regarding the circumstances surrounding her disappearance other than stating she was last seen at 4:45 a.m. Cynthia was reportedly walking away from her home at the time.

“She was briefly followed by her husband before he returned home. She has not been seen since,” NamUs shared.

A lone report of two sentences by the Corsicana Daily Sun offered coordinates: “Walking southbound on N. 19th by Jester Park.”

A woman on Twitter even appealed to NBC Dallas-Fort Worth and WFAA Daybreak to help spread awareness about Cynthia. She has been the only person to share news about this case.

“Please help find Mrs. Cynthia Smith from Corsicana Texas,” she tweeted. “She has been missing for over 48 hours. Corsicana PD will not issue a silver alert due to her not officially meeting the criteria. If anyone is from that area or may know of anyone from Corsicana. Please help!”
