Amber Kidd, 36: Disappeared From Dallas In 2015

According to the loved ones of Amber Kidd, the 36-year-old struggled with a few personal issues. There hasn’t been much shared about Amber and the specifics of her daily life, but agencies report that the last time anyone had contact with her was in Dallas, Texas, on October 17, 2015. The nature of that contact—whether it was by phone or in-person—is unknown, but it would be months before her family reported her missing.
Her stepfather, Glen Smith, told reporters that Amber Kidd struggled with “mental and substance abuse issues,” however, that did not keep from her communicating with her family. Smith said that Amber “always checked in” so they would know she was safe, at minimum, but when they did not hear from her for three or four months, the family decided to file a missing person report because they “knew something was wrong.”
“It’s tough not knowing,” said Smith.
Details about Amber’s home, work, and personal relationships are unclear. It was reported that her mother submitted a DNA sample to authorities for any possible future comparisons.
At the time of her disappearance, Amber Kidd stood 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed 120 to 130 pounds. She had brown hair (may have been dyed) and brown eyes. Her middle name is “Lynn” and she has a navel piercing. Amber would be 42-years-old at the time of this publication.
Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact the Dallas Police Department at (214) 671-4268 or their local authorities. Unfortunately, an agency case number has not been listed.
