Robin Ellis, 37: Vanished While Delivering Pizzas In 2003

There are certain jobs that are more susceptible to danger, and often, delivery drivers find themselves facing off against threats. It is unclear if that happened to Robin Ellis in 2003, but the 37-year-old vanished while delivering pizzas during the holiday season. It was on December 7 when Robin, who worked at Woodland Village Pizza in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, left the location around 5:00 p.m. to deliver four pizzas. However, she never returned and has never been seen or heard from again.
Those four delivery orders reportedly only totaled $50, and she was able to drop off one of them, but what happened to Robin Ellis following that interaction is a mystery. Then, two days after she went missing, Robin’s vehicle, a reported four-door 1995 Hyundai Elantra (Pennsylvania plates FDY7311), was located on Interstate 95 North. Upon inspection, there did not seem to be any evidence that pointed toward foul play.
The Charley Project reported that it was suspected Robin was also working as an unlicensed taxi driver, a practice that is not only frowned upon but considered illegal. Investigators have not ruled out the possibility that someone she may have given a ride to could be involved in her disappearance. Additionally, Robin was the victim of two home burglaries while living on Litchfield Street, but it is unclear if those thefts are tied to her missing person case.
Robin has a teenage son who lives in Tampa, Florida. She was also said to be a frequent caller to a local Philadelphia radio station, but her last known contact was on December 7, 2003, the day she went missing. Her personal affairs have not been shared publicly, and the development of this case—e.g., persons of interest, suspects, witnesses—is unknown. Her family reportedly insists that Robin would never disappear without contacting or notifying her loved ones.
At the time of her disappearance, Robin Ellis stood 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighed 115 pounds. She had black/dark brown hair (braided) and brown eyes. Robin wore glasses with plastic frames and her ears were pierced. She had a tattoo of “Sylvia” on her arm, a light-colored birthmark on the side of her face near her temple, and possible surgical scars on her feet.
What she was last seen wearing is unknown. Her dental records, fingerprints, and DNA are not available. Her middle name is “Monique” and she would be 55 years old at the time of this publication.
Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact the Philadelphia Police Department at (215) 686-3093 or (215) 685-3258 or their local authorities. The agency case number is 03-12-98891.
