Jasmine Purvis Missing 2

As families were figuring out how to go about their holiday plans during a pandemic in 2020, the loved ones of Jasmine Purvis were growing concerned because they couldn’t get into contact with her. According to reports, it was December 3 when Jasmine was last seen in the area of Carnation Street in Jackson, Mississippi. It is unclear why she was in the neighborhood, but reports stated that Jasmine called her grandfather to ask him for a ride. It seems that he agreed, but within the next 15 minutes, Jasmine repeatedly called her grandfather over and over, asking him to hurry. How long it took for him to arrive is unknown, but by the time he arrived at the location, Jasmine Purvis was gone.

It is reported that Jasmine was last seen in a dark blue Chevrolet Tahoe SUV with an unidentified man. A description of what this man looked like has been difficult to find. Additionally, after continuously calling Jasmine’s phone not long after she allegedly was seen in that SUV, the cellphone was turned off.

Two months after Jasmine Purvis disappeared, a local news station reported that there was “little progress” in her missing person case. The specific developments have not been shared and there haven’t been any extensive reports about Jasmine. However, MissingSippi did state that weeks before vanishing, Jasmine witnessed her friend’s murder. Although little has been shared, the site stated that the “vehicle seen leaving the crime scene is the same vehicle Purvis was last seen leaving in.”

Authorities have not publicly spoken about Jasmine Purvis’s case, the vehicle that was allegedly tied to the previous crime scene, the developments of their investigation, or if they have suspects or persons of interest.

She had brown eyes and although her hair is naturally dark brown, it is unclear what color I was when she went missing. Jasmine’s hair was styled as such: shaved in the back and short on the top (see photos for examples). She has prescription glasses and if she doesn’t wear them, she squints. Jasmine’s ears and tongue are pierced. Her middle name is “Javonna.”
