Cellastine Wade Missing

Cases such as these are a regular occurrence on OurBlackGirls, and each time, the frustration grows. Once again, we’re faced with a cold case that doesn’t have much information shared publicly, and it doesn’t look as if an investigative agency has been looking into this disappearance since it first occurred. And about that, the exact date when Cellastine Wade went missing is a mystery, considering that the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System reported that she vanished sometime in either 1967 or 1968.

Cellastine Wade Missing

According to NamUs, her family last saw Cellastine Wade in Jersey City, New Jersey, but an exact date or year could not be pinned down. The date listed in her report is April 26, 1968, which may be when someone officially filed a missing person report. It is unknown who that person was, and no details regarding Cellastine’s personal or professional life have been shared. Although what she did for a living wasn’t given in the NamUs report, the database did show that Cellastine vanished after work, and her family has never seen or heard from her again.

Sadly, I could not trace Cellastine’s relatives or loved ones. It doesn’t seem that there were any mentions of her disappearance in any newspapers or alerts about the 18-year-old’s case, so circumstances remain unclear.
