Joyce Marie Kennedy, 32: Got Into A Black Car & Was Never Seen Again In 1992

Joyce Marie Kennedy Missing

Louisiana has a decades-old missing person case that is no closer to achieving closure. According to The Doe Network, there isn’t much information regarding the missing person case involving Joyce Marie Kennedy. The 32-year-old reportedly went missing from Marrero, Louisiana, on July 9, 1992.

I’ve written this on Our Black Girls more times than I can count, but here it is one more time: The circumstances surrounding this case are unclear. The Doe Network reports that Joyce Marie Kennedy was last seen getting into a black car. She told an unknown person that she was going to Buras, Louisiana, about an hour and 20 minutes away. Who was driving the car isn’t known, and why she traveled to Buras is also a mystery. She has never been seen or heard from again.

Joyce Marie Kennedy: What To Know

At the time of her disappearance, Joyce Marie Kennedy stood 5 feet 5 inches tall and 120 pounds. She had black/dark brown hair and brown eyes. Joyce was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. She reportedly had a tattoo of the name “Joyce” on her left arm. She would be 60 years old at the time of this publication. Her DNA is on file. Some agencies list her missing date as July 10 and her age as 33.
